2-Day Rwanda Gorilla Tour | Volcanoes Trekking Adventure

This 2-day Rwanda Gorilla Safari lets you see mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. On day one, after breakfast, enjoy a half-day city tour in Kigali visiting the National Museum, Inema Art Center, and Kigali Genocide Memorial.

After lunch, drive to Volcanoes National Park, visit the Gorilla Guardians Village, then rest at your lodge. On day two, have an early breakfast and go to the park offices for a briefing.

Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will pick you up for a half-day city tour of Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. Visit places like the National Museum, Inema Art Center, Kigali Genocide Memorial, craft centers, and local markets.

Have lunch, then drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas. Take a guided cultural tour of the Gorilla Guardians Village before checking into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park – End of Safari

Have an early breakfast and drive to the park offices in Kinigi for a briefing on gorilla trekking. You will join a group of eight visitors, led by a park ranger and another guide, to enter the forest and trek the gorillas.

The trek can last from 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are. You will spend one hour watching them as they go about their day.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch, check out, and then drive back to Kigali for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
