This 10-day safari takes you through Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya for a rich wildlife experience. Start with a city tour in Kigali, then travel to Volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking and a visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village.
Fly to Tanzania’s Arusha and explore Serengeti National Park for two days, where you may see the famous wildlife migration. Cross into Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve for more game drives and wildlife viewing, including the Big Five animals. The safari ends with a transfer to Nairobi’s airport for your flight home.

Detailed 10-Day Rwanda Kenya & Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali airport pick-up
You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport and taken to a hotel in Kigali city for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy a half-day tour of Kigali city. After the tour, you will travel to Volcanoes National Park and arrive in the early evening. Check in at the lodge, have dinner, and spend the night in Volcanoes National Park.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing and final preparations. A park ranger will lead you on the gorilla trek. The trek can last between 2 to 6 hours or more, but it is very rewarding when you meet the gorilla family assigned to your group. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch. Later, visit the Gorilla Guardians Village to learn about the local culture.
Day 4: Flight to Tanzania
In the morning, transfer back to Kigali and go to the airport for your flight to Tanzania. Your Tanzania safari guide will meet you at Arusha Airport and take you to your hotel in Arusha town, the usual starting point for safaris in Tanzania. If you arrive early, you can take a short walk or shop for gifts and souvenirs.
Day 5-6: Exploring Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s most popular safari park. It is famous for the annual wildlife migration. Spend two days exploring the open plains and visiting different parts of the park. If you come during migration season, you may see this amazing event. You can also enjoy a hot air balloon safari or guided walking safaris.
Day 7: Cross the border to Kenya – Maasai Mara
Leave the Serengeti and cross the border into Maasai Mara National Reserve in southern Kenya. Check in at your safari lodge and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 8-9: Exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve
Here you have another chance to see the wildebeest migration if you missed it in the Serengeti. Spend two days exploring the reserve, visiting different areas for great game viewing. You may see the Big Five animals: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino, as well as many other animals and birds.
Day 10: Transfer to Nairobi – End of safari
Your 10-day safari ends with a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your flight home.
