Rwanda borders many East African countries, making it easily accessible at a reasonable price, either by road or air transport, depending on the type of budget you prefer. Tourists coming from Uganda in the month of March are charged a ticket fee of 60,000 shillings for a VIP seat.
The journey takes about 13 hours to reach Rwanda if there are no traffic jams or delays at passport control. It is advisable to book your ticket a day before travel to get better seats.
Online booking has also been introduced to reduce congestion at bus stations, but note that online payment is not always reliable. The buses can be found from Namirembe Road, Kampala, heading to Rubaga Road at Kobil.
On the other hand, while in Tanzania, you can hire a private car or use a bus. Only a passport is required. You can pass through the Rusumo border from Mwanza or through Nyakanazi, Arusha. If you use a bus, your journey starts at the bus station in Mwanza, where you purchase a ticket to Benaco Bus Station in Nyakasanza, costing 35,000 TSZ paid in cash.
Kenya follows the same procedures. All you need to do is follow the rules and regulations of each country for a comfortable stay.
