DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
After a half-day tour of Kigali city visiting places like Inema Art Center, Kigali Genocide Memorial, and others, you will have your lunch and then drive north to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda’s top destination.
Day 2: Volcanoes National Park – Gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park is carried out early in the morning. You will be at the park offices for a briefing and then join other visitors and your ranger guide into the park in search of the gentle mountain gorillas. It is an experience of a lifetime that is worth every step of the trek through the forests of Volcanoes National Park. After the trek, a visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village is a good cultural experience.
Day 3: Flight to Arusha – Tanzania
In the morning, transfer back to Kigali for your flight to Tanzania. Your safari guide will pick you up from the airport and drive you to a hotel in Arusha town for the night.
Day 4: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart early from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. Enjoy a short game drive on arrival as you drive to your safari lodge. Have lunch and later go for a late evening game drive.
Day 5: Full day game drive – Serengeti National Park
Take a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park in search of animals like wildebeests, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, jackals, hyenas, elephants, elands, impalas, gazelles, olive baboons, monkeys, and others. You also have a chance to witness the great wildebeest migration. Later in the day, you will visit a Maasai community on a guided cultural tour.
Day 6: Departure – End of safari
After breakfast, exit the park and drive to Arusha Airport for your flight.
