1-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour from Kigali

This short Rwanda Gorilla Trek is perfect for visitors with little time who want to see endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. On day one, your driver will pick you up very early from your Kigali hotel and drive you to Musanze District.

After 2 to 3 hours, arrive at Kinigi offices for a gorilla trekking briefing. You will be assigned a gorilla family to trek. A park ranger will guide you through the forest.

Spend one hour watching and taking pictures of the gorillas (no flash allowed). After the trek, return to Kigali and your hotel.

Day 1 – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Gorilla Trekking, and Return to Kigali

Your tour driver-guide will pick you up very early from your hotel in Kigali, around 4:30 or 5:00 am. You will drive to Musanze District, where Volcanoes National Park is located.

After about 2 to 3 hours, you will arrive at the Kinigi offices for a briefing on gorilla trekking. You will be assigned to a specific gorilla family or group to trek.

A park ranger will lead you into the forest. Follow the ranger’s instructions for a safe and memorable experience. When you find the mountain gorillas, you will spend one hour watching and taking pictures. (Note: Flash photography is not allowed.)

After the trek, your driver-guide will take you back to Kigali and drop you off at your hotel.
